This week in the Massachusetts Senate we passed the Mass Ready Act, an environmental bond bill that supports the removal of 'forever chemicals' from drinking water, helps our cities and towns withstand extreme weather events, and makes outdoor recreation accessible for more of our residents. Through these efforts we are continuing to protect our natural resources, preserve our public beaches, and work towards a more sustainable future.

This morning we had the opportunity to join with Mayor Jared Nicholson, city officials, and members of the Lynn Water & Sewer Commission for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the West Lynn Sewer Separation Project. With the construction of over 26,000 linear feet of new storm drain infrastructure, this project will alleviate flooding in West Lynn and improve the water quality of the Lynn Harbor and the Saugus River.
