There was much to celebrate at last night's Destination Boston Harbor 40 Save the Harbor / Save the Baye Bay, commemorating 40 years of their incredible work to protect and preserve our public beaches. We honored this year's Harbor Heroes, including Chair Michael Rodrigues for his advocacy to provide funding for the work of the Metropolitan Beaches Commission and our Better Beaches program. The Metropolitan Beaches Commission was proud to celebrate 20 years of working to improve the infrastructure and accessibility of our beaches from Nahant to Nantasket. It was great to join with my co-cAdrian Madaroian Madaro and our colleagues on the commission to commemorate this milestone.
Congratulations to Emma Chevalier, Daniela Robles Bamaca, Delyanna Assade, and Justin Chavez Gomez for being the Lynn awardees of the 2026 Keolis Scholarship! Each year, Keolis Commuter Services brings support to our local communities through the Keolis Scholars initiative, providing scholarships to students throughout Massachusetts.
Throughout my time as a City Councilor, State Representative, and State Senator, it has been great to partner with Dan Small on a wide range of initiatives to improve Lynn Woods. His hard work and leadership has helped transform Lynn Woods into the gem it is today.![]()
After 27 years of service in his career as a park ranger, we were proud to join with city officials in congratulating Dan on his well-earned retirement!
I was proud to join with my colleagues today on "Denim Day" in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and to condemn sexual violence. Thank you to the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators for working to raise awareness, reduce the stigma, and protest the misconceptions around sexual violence.
