MBTA's Reduced Fare Program

Riders that are between the ages of 18-64 and have low income can apply for reduced one-way fares of approximately 50% off on all MBTA buses, subway, ferry, Commuter Rail, and paratransit (The RIDE) travel.

This is a result of years of strong advocacy from the Legislature and our many community partners — and we thank the Healey-Driscoll Administration and the MBTA for beginning the program this year.
